Concealed Handgun Permits  The process is easier than you think.

The Circuit Court is required to follow strict state guidelines when performing the necessary background checks for Concealed Handgun Permits. The court shall issue the permit within 45 days of receipt of the completed application unless it appears that the applicant is disqualified.

Completed applications for RESIDENT permits shall be submitted to the circuit court of the county or city in which the applicant resides.  

Pricing

• A New Concealed Handgun Permit costs $50.00 for RESIDENTS.
• A Renewal Concealed Handgun Permit costs $50.00 for RESIDENTS.
• A service fee of $6.00 plus a credit card processing fee of 3.3% will be applied to all online applications. These fees will be charged even if your application is denied or the process is not completed by the applicant. This service is provided by a third party vendor with only application fee collected by the Clerk's Office.
• Applications will be processed between 8:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday, excluding holidays.
